About our Founder

Vanessa Sanyauke is an award-winning sustainability and impact executive and entrepreneur. 

With over 18 years of leadership experience spanning global banking, law, government, technology and media, Vanessa is the powerhouse behind The Hill; a platform connecting major brands like Amazon, Zalando, BT Group and Virgin Media O2 to untapped, diverse talent pools worldwide. She also founded Girls Talk, a media and storytelling studio that has engaged over 60,000 women globally through authentic campaigns with Apple, Beats by Dre, Meta, HSBC UK, Snap Inc., and more.

Her career has taken her from the highest levels of government at UK Parliament to global boardrooms, advising senior leaders on inclusive innovation and sustainable business.

Team: Helene is a project and learning designer with over 13 years of experience in the not-for-profit, higher education and corporate sector. She has been listed as Beyond Gender Agenda’s Diversity Driver in 2023 for her work and contribution in Zalando’s Diversity and Inclusion team.

She has designed and run global leadership development programmes for senior professionals on various topics such as sustainability, diversity and inclusion, workplace culture, personal leadership and international group processes at companies such as Accenture, London Business School, Salesforce, State Street, Vodafone & Zalando.

Currently pursuing an Executive Master of Public Administration at the renowned Hertie School, Helene is excited to design and host a community of senior professional women in Berlin.

This is the original House on the Hill. The childhood home that shaped me — where love, legacy, and community first began
